We are happy you have inquired about staying at Brewster Rest Haven (BRH). BRH is a non-profit corporation established to assist Christian Evangelical pastors and missionaries by providing lodging while vacationing on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The Brewster intent was to provide this service to pastors and missionaries of modest or minimal financial resources who would not otherwise be able to afford this type of vacation. We would like to give first choice of dates and facilities to those who have not previously had an opportunity to visit the Hawaiian Islands.

The lodge at Brewster Rest Haven is a residential style, six-bedroom home, located less than one mile from the beach, in South Kihei on the island of Maui. The lodge has a relaxed residential atmosphere. It is located on thirty acres of land and is surrounded with tropical fruits and flowers. The upper level has two separate wings with each wing having two bedrooms sharing one bathroom. A lanai with a panoramic view of the ocean extends the full length of the upper level. There is a large living room upstairs with TV, microwave, refrigerator and sink. The lower level has two bedrooms each with their own bath. Each bedroom in the lodge has two single beds. There is a powder room on the lower level, large kitchen, dining room and TV viewing area. All residents of the lodge share the kitchen, dining and TV viewing area. The lodge is furnished with linens and cooking utensils. We supply the laundry soap. Guests are expected to replace consumables such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, etc.

The following resolutions were adopted by the Board of Directors of Brewster Rest Haven, and have been reviewed and reaffirmed on 4/15/2005.

Reservations at BRH will be limited to active and retired Christian Evangelical pastors and missionaries, their spouses and children or parents living within that household.

Eligible guests are allowed a stay of up to two weeks at our facilities every two years.

It is the intent of BRH to allow pastors and missionaries who have never been to our estate, to have first choice of dates and accommodations ahead of those who have already been guests at our facilities.

First time guests may apply up to one year in advance of their intended stay.

Returning guests may apply up to 6 months in advance of their intended stay.

A maintenance fee of $150.00 will be charged for each person to confirm your reservation. This fee is for every man, woman, and child. For example, three people times $150.00 equals $450.00. We charge for small children as well as adults because they require water for bathing and laundry, require electricity for lights, and cause wear and tear on the facilities. We have no maid service.
