WAMA SPRING DINNER

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Dean, Brigadier General HaraldGoellinger,and Regional Directors of the Washington Association of Military Attachés (WAMA), I extend to you very warm greetings and an invitation to the 2015 WAMA Annual Spring Dinner. Your spouse or partner and guests are also welcome to join with the WAMA members for this occasion.

WAMA would like to acknowledge the cooperation of the University of California Campus (yes…California), where the dinner will be held, at 1608Rhode Island Avenue, NW,Washington, DC, 20036, on the evening of Saturday 18th April 2015.Catering and other support is being provided by the Courtyard Washington Embassy Row Hotel (by Marriott), next door to the University of California Campus.

The Spring Dinner is apopular event on WAMA’s social calendar, providing a unique opportunity for the Military Attachés and their guests to join together and enjoy each others company.

Menu selection.We will offer you one of four delicious Entreecourse options, which are listed in the attached Response Form for your choice. I ask that you indicate your menu selection and those of your guests on the Response Form.

Cost and tables.The cost for the evening is $80.00 per person for WAMA members and their spouse or partner. The cost is $85.00 per person for any guests you may wish to invite or for Attachés who are not WAMA members.You are encouraged to use the dinner as an opportunity to introduce your guests to the Washington Military Attaché community. Please note dining tables will be limited to 8 placesper table for the seating comfort of diners.

RSVP. As in previous years, I anticipate this dinner will be well attended. Therefore, I would be most grateful if you could indicate your intentions on the attached Response Form and email or faxit to Mrs Cicilia Andersen by Monday5th April 2015.

Payment. Also, please send the response form, with your accompanying check, to Mrs Andersen by Wednesday7thApril 2015. Mrs Andersen’s contact details are at the bottom of this letter. I request that those who do not wish to attend also respond, as this will confirm that you have received the invitation and assist the Committee in planning the evening.

Dress and times.Dress for the evening for military diners is Mess Dress or your National equivalent.Dress for civilian diners is recommended as Cocktail or Evening Dress for ladies and Black Tie for gentlemen.The times for the evening will be:

Arrival at the University of California Campusfrom6-45 PM

Pre-dinner refreshments6-45 – 7-45 PM

Dinner8.00 – 10-00 PM

After dinner “chat” 10.00 – 10.45 PM

Parking and transport.Valet parking is available at the Courtyard Washington Embassy Row Hotel (by Marriott), 1600 Rhode Island Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 20036 for $20. Delivery and collection by drivers is best done at the driveway of the Courtyard Washington Embassy Row Hotel.
