The Project:

RhosHelyg Primary school is looking for Creative Practitioners to work with them as part of the Lead Creative Schools scheme.

We are seeking two creative practitioners to work with 20 pupils from years 3 – 4 on a project to develop oral literacy skills and promote Welsh as a living language. The project will be based around the theme of FOOD, and developed in collaboration with the pupils and their teacher. So it is possible we will be investigating growing, cooking, marketing, selling and/or reviewing food, and that we will do it through artwork, animation, foraging, filming, photography, language, songs, drama, mathematics, visits to local growers or food producers, or the building of a pizza oven…. Or perhaps you have your own ideas?

Hence the brief is fairly open.We are looking for 2 practitioners, one who works outdoors (e.g. Forest School practitioner) and one who may work in any creative profession. The project will run one day per week for between 7 – 9 weeks (allowing for organic development of the project) during the second half of the Autumn and first half of Spring term 2017/18.

Further details can be found in the attached brief / can be downloaded here /

Please feel free to pass this on to anyone who may be interested in the above posts, and apologies for any cross-posting.
