RE: REQUEST FOR APPOINTMENT AS AFFILIATED RESEARCER_DR. SUZUKI, Kyoko

I am an associate professor from Nihon University, College of Engineering in Koriyama, Japan, conducting research on developing teaching materials for children to value maintaining sustainable environments and wild animals.

The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from October to March 2014. I am in the process of obtaining a research clearance for this project from the National Council for Science and Technology. As the principle investigator, I will be travelling to and from Kenya during this period.

I am requesting to be appointed as an affiliated researcher at the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies, University of Nairobi. This appointment is at no cost to the University of Nairobi. I am fully supported by my university. A full proposal and my curriculum vitae are attached.
