Walking the Miracle Mile

Have you ever prayed for someone and in the midst of that prayer witnessed the presence and the anointing of the Lord heal that person? What an incredible feeling in knowing that the Lord used you to accomplish His will for someone else’s life.

But have you ever had to pray that same prayer for yourself and felt as though you hit a brass ceiling? You pray and you believe that you are in faith, but the manifestation seems to still be in heaven instead of your life.

I will be the first to say, I've been there and more than once.

It's what Kenneth Copeland calls, "walking the miracle mile"

Some years ago he experienced a health issue in his body that wouldn't leave no matter how much he prayed. His wife Gloria also prayed with him, but to no avail. The pain which was in his left leg persisted for several more days, with him only able to walk a few steps. Realizing that his healing wasn't manifesting, he went before the Lord and asked Him where had he missed it.

  1. The question, “where have I missed it”?
  1. Have you ever been in some type of struggle or battle and you couldn’t understand what was happening?
  1. Have you ever gone through the same painful and excruciating experience that seems to last a life time?
  1. And have you ever had struggles with your health, your children, husband, and people that seem to be put there just to aggravate you?
  1. God’s answer to Kenneth was awesome and profound.
  1. The eyes are a gateway.

It’s not enough to quote the word, even though we need to memorize the word of God, but we must read the word and receive it through the eye gate. Why?

  1. Scripture is life.

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine earunto my sayings. Let them not depart fromthine eyes; keep them in the midst of thineheart;for they are life unto those that findthem and health to all their flesh.

  1. The eyes are a gateway through which the Word enters your spirit. The Lord told Kenneth he had been relying solely on his memory of the Word, but it wasn’t nourishing to his spirit any more than the memory of food will nourish your body.
  1. Feed your Faith
  1. Sometimes manifestations don't come instantly: hold steady: Don't fall into the trap of wondering about what you have believed and feed your faith for.
  1. When you're facing a challenge in some area of your life, find out what Gods word says about it.
Romans10:17 - Consequently, faith comes from hearing themessage, and the message is heard through theword of Christ.
  1. The lie of Satan
The enemy of our souls, who is Satan, will always whisper in your ear to counteract the word of faith. That's why it is extremely important to read the word on a daily basis and meditate on what you have read.

Even though what you are going through may persist, and even seem as though it's greeting worse, your absolute faith has to be in the word of God.God will use adversity to mold us and shape us for His use.God is preparing us for our future, and the process is vitally important. The process is designed to accomplish His purpose while preparing us to be a Godly leader, and will cause us to stand before kings and great men, and prosper us in the process.

  1. Pull the Faith Trigger
  1. Make a prayerful confession and wait to see what God will say.
  1. Began to walk out your confession in Faith.
Kenneth Copeland walked out his confession against what seemed illogical and a risk to his health. Kenneth listened to the voice of God over the voice of reason.
  1. In order to pull the faith trigger you must be filled with God’s word that is living, in order to drown out the words of doubt or unbelief. Many times we fail to confess the Word because fear has gripped our hearts.
Kenneth Copeland was healed by the faith of God that he employed in his life. But not only that, God also requires us to use wisdom in taking care of our physical bodies as well as growing spiritually.

Three things we must do to win the fight of faith.

  1. We must realize that we are in a fight

These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.– John 16:33

  1. Keep the Word of God before your eyes; don’t rely on your memory alone. Proverbs 4:20-21

My Son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart.

  1. Couple your faith with works

Faith without works is dead. James 2:17

If faith is not accompanied by action, it is dead

Remember God is preparing us for our future, and the process is vitally important.
