Walk to Emmaus Sponsor’s Form

“In Support of Pilgrim” Wasatch Front Emmaus Community

Sponsorship is important and your support is vital for your candidate to have a positive weekend. We must have this information before your candidate will be officially accepted for the upcoming Walk to Emmaus Weekend.

All information will be kept strictly confidential.

IMPORTANT! The Walk to Emmaus is not an evangelistic tool or a place to solve deep emotional problems. The candidate you are sponsoring needs to be an active, believing Christian, hopefully a leader or “leader in waiting.” Emmaus is a vehicle for Christian renewal within the church.

Your pilgrim should have a desire to deepen their faith and become closer to Christ.

Costs are increasing because we are moving to more comfortable conference center with real beds and hot showers!

We believe this will enable us to attract even more pilgrims to the walk.

However, our managing principle is that money must not be an obstacle to any worker or pilgrim attending.

In God’s economy we understand that everything we have belongs to the Lord and we are but His stewards.

The Lord has already provided! We invite you to take advantage of the opportunities below:

COSTS:

  • The cost to sponsor a pilgrim is $175.
  • This cost can be scaled back for you, your pilgrim, or other members of your family attending the walk.
  • The cost for you or a 2nd person from your family (or pilgrim) is $125 and the 3rd person can attend for $100.
  • In addition, we intend to provide scholarships upon request to further reduce your financial commitment.
  • Tell any board member or the registrar, Terry Waite you would like a scholarship.

NEW FOR 2018 WALKS:

  • We are asking the Pilgrim for a $30 “registration fee.” Other communities have learned this reduces cancellations.
  • We encourage you to submit the application for your pilgrim as soon as possible.
  • All fees are due 60 days prior to the beginning of the walk.
  • Make checks payable to Wasatch Front Walk to Emmaus.
  • Please do not let money keep you from sponsoring a candidate; please contact a board member about our scholarship program.

Please mail complete application (sponsor’s form, pilgrim’s application with clergy signature) to:

Terry Waite: 2322 Sundown Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84121 or email to:
