  • David discussed the problems with Vip Patel of placing prescription orders online which are not going through to the pharmacy’s inbox. This situation is extremely frustrating for patients who go to the pharmacy’s to collect their prescription and then find it is not ready because it has not been received!
  • Vip Patel said that he would be meeting with doctors from the surgery next Wednesday to resolve problems with online prescriptions. Maria would also be attending the meeting.
  • David said he would find out from Lambeth CCG what is being done about the problems with online prescriptions, especially for the elderly.

  1. TV’s in surgeries update
/

  1. Wi-Fi in surgeries update
/
  • Wi-Fi has been installed at the surgery and testing is due to take place tomorrow.

  1. Any other business
/
  1. Vip Patel said that the CQC inspection concerns about not meeting targets for seeing patients does not take into consideration that the surgeries in Streatham have a higher percentage of elderly patients. This point is important as it takes longer to deal with older patients’ which makes it more difficult to meet targets. For example, 10 minutes has been allocated for taking a patient’s blood pressure, but it will generally take longer with an elderly patient who tends to move slower than an 18 year old patient.
  2. David mentioned that he thought there were too many posters in the surgery, but Maria explained that most of them were important health information and that patients do read them.
  3. Maria confirmed that the number of “Did Not Attend”appointments for each week and the cost will once again be displayed at the surgery.

  1. Date of the next meeting
