This course provides basic instruction in theory, operation, and repair of heating and air conditioning/refrigeration systems. Topics include operation theory, safety, maintenance, recycling and recovery procedures, recharging procedures, troubleshooting procedures, refrigerant leaks, and system repairs. Emphasis is placed on the understanding and repair of air conditioning and heating systems, including but not limited to air management, electrical and vacuum controls, refrigerant recovery, and component replacement.
