Voters' Prize — Terms & Conditions

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) would like you to take part in the online voting for the winners of this year's video challenge "Europe in Harmony". Since we appreciate your involvement in selecting the top 10 videos, we would like to offer you the chance to win a trip to the Nordic-Baltic Choral Festival to be held in Riga, Latvia, from 25 to 28 June 2015 (learn more about the event at: http://www.nordicbalticchoir.lv). This festival will be the final event in the public diplomacy and culture programme of our partners, the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which extends from 1 January to 30 June 2015.

General conditions for the voting procedure:

·  To participate in the voting for the 2015 EESC video challenge which will be open from 8 to 22 March (noon) 2015 you must complete the 2015 video challenge voting form.

·  Only one vote per person may be submitted.

·  If more than one vote is submitted by the same person, these votes will not count towards the final results.

·  IP addresses that are used to vote will be blocked for 30 minutes in order to reduce the chances of submitting ineligible votes.

Voters' Prize:

To enter the EESC's voters' prize draw, you must submit a valid vote (for the procedure see above).

The 2015 voters' prize is a weekend trip for two to Riga, Latvia. This trip will include travel (flight in economy class or train second class), two days hotel accommodation booked by the EESC as well as two festival tickets. The winner's travel companion must also meet the eligibility criteria (see below). The exact dates of the prize trip will be agreed between the winner and the EESC project team. The airline / train itinerary will be decided by the EESC at its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of flight / train cancellations and delays. Trips to and from the airports or train stations are included; low-cost options have to be chosen. Taxis or other private transport will not be covered by the EESC. No per diems will be paid and meals are not included in the prize. The prize trip to Riga must take place no later than June 2015.

Eligibility:

·  You must be a European Union resident.

·  If you are under 18, you have to be accompanied by one of your parents or your legal guardian.

Winner:

The winner of the EESC's voters' prize will be selected by random draw. The winner will be notified by email and must respond to the EESC's email within 10 working days. If the EESC does not receive an answer within this period, it reserves the right to select another winner by random draw. Only three (3) alternate draws will be held, after which the prize will remain unawarded.

Selection:

The winner of the voters' prize will be drawn in April 2015.
