Responsible to / Volunteers Coordinator
Purpose / To assist the Volunteers Coordinator with the role of recruiting, inducting, training and supporting Wellsprings volunteers
Expectations /
- Commitment to Wellsprings’ Vision and Mission
- Complete Wellsprings’ Induction Training Program and additional training as required
- Abide by the Policies & Procedures of Wellsprings for Women.
- Willingness to uphold the vision and mission of Wellsprings for Women
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current Police Records Check and Working With Children Check
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all parties at all times
Time Commitment /
- Orientation and training sessions as required
Skills/Personal attributes Required /
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Desire to work with women from various cultures
Duties /
- Maintain and update list of volunteers, hours they do and tasks they perform
- Contact volunteers on regular basis to check on their needs and how Wellsprings can support them better
- Develop and maintain the Volunteers duty roster
- Assist the coordinator with volunteers induction and training
- Conduct volunteers’ satisfaction surveys and consultation
- Other duties as directed by the CEO
Training/Support /
- Induction to Wellsprings for Women
- Access to any free training offered to all volunteers

Occupational Health and Safety /
- Volunteers must actively participate in the identification, reduction and reporting of potential hazards, issues and safe practices in the workplace.
- Volunteers must actively promote safety and safe work practices to other volunteers, staff and users of the centre.

- A separate form for Privacy and Confidentiality must be completed for this role.
