VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR 2013

Volunteers needed for the following:

1 = Meeting Coordinator – assures meeting date, time, and location have been reserved; asks people to bring some snacks; makes sure coffee, hot water for tea, & serving items are in place; one coordinator is needed for each of the following dates: Tues, Jan 29 (St. Germain), Tues, Feb 26 (AV), Sun, April 21 (ER), Tues, June 18 (LDF), Tues, Oct 22 (St. Germain?)

2 = Volunteer to bring snacks to meeting

3 = Coordinator for May 18 Luncheon/Fundraiser – reserves a location for the event; orders catered items; asks members and contacts to bring items; arranges for misc. pop on ice to be available; coordinates room & table arrangement; assures availability of a podium and speaker system; arranges for necessary service items (plates, plastic silverware, napkins, & condiments); arranges for setup and cleanup crews

4 = Volunteer to bring an item for the Luncheon/Fundraiser

5 = Volunteer to set up for the Luncheon/Fundraiser

6 = Volunteer to man a table (registration/onsite payment; membership; Move to Amend) at the Luncheon/Fundraiser

7 = Volunteer to help serve food & drinks at the Luncheon/Fundraiser

8= Volunteer to clean up at the Luncheon/Fundraiser

9= Independence Day Parade Coordinator(June 30,St. Germain; July 4, Eagle River, LDF, & Minocqua)– reserves place for Vilas Dems in parade; assures decorations are available at site; assures a minimum number of volunteers are in place; notifies all volunteers of where to meet and gather for parade

10 = Volunteer to participate in a parade – indicate which parade(s)

11 = Coordinator for Aug 4th Annual Picnic – reserves a location for the event; purchases brats, buns, condiments, pop, ice, charcoal, & charcoal lighter fluid; also, napkins, paper plates, & plastic silverware (if needed); orders catered items (if any); asks members and supporters to bring an item; coordinates setup, serving, & cleanup crews; arranges for coolers and grills to be brought to the site

12 = Volunteer to bring an item for the Picnic

13 = Volunteer to setup for the Picnic

14 = Volunteer to help cook &/or serve at the Picnic

15= Volunteer to clean up at the Picnic

16 = Coordinator for the Vilas County Fair (Aug 15-18; must be someone from the EagleRiver area) – coordinates setup of booth (canopy, tables, chairs, items for sale or distribution; coordinates coverage schedule; coordinates take down of booth

17 = Volunteers to bring a canopy, table(s), or chair(s) – specify which

18 = Volunteers to setup the booth

19 = Volunteers to be in the coverage schedule to man the booth

20 = Volunteers to strike down the booth

21 = Coordinator for Dec 7th Annual Feast & Meeting – reserves Multipurpose Center for the event; arranges for catering of venison, rice, and fry bread; arranges to have drinks available (coffee, tea, etc.); makes sure that adequate plates, napkins; and plastic silverware are available; asks people to sign up to bring items; coordinates setup, serving, and cleanup crews

22 = Volunteer to bring an item for the Feast

23 = Volunteer to help set up for the Feast

24 = Volunteer to help serve (as needed) for the Feast

25 = Volunteer to help clean up after the Feast
