VOLUNTEER Information 2017
For the last 43 years Folklore Festival gives credits to its volunteers for its great success. We're always looking for mature and enthusiastic volunteers before, after and during the Festival. It's not only an excellent way to meet new people, but you're also participating in helping your community to promote its culture and diversity. A welcoming community for all.
These are some of the areas where assistance is always appreciated!
- Site setup Site take down (signage, tables, stage, etc.)
- Site location Duties (cleanup during the event)
- Children's area
- Entertainment
- Liquor Sales
- Pre Promotion (Sorting Flags)
- Event Patrol
All registration for volunteers must be received ASAP
Because of availability within committees some requests may not be approved
Mealswill be provided for all volunteers, with shifts over 5 hours.
If you are in need of high school Community Service hours, please ensure you add your school name to the appropriate spot on the registration form so it can be followed up after the Folklore Festival by the chair in whose area you volunteered in.
