Volunteer Confirmation Letter & Directions

Dear Volunteer/Guardian:

Thank you for agreeing to attend the mandatory JA BizTown volunteer training session, 1.5 hours before your student’s 4.5 hour on-site visit to the JA BizTown facility. Total commitment time is 6 hours.

The mandatory volunteer training session requires that you please:

  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes
  • Arrange for childcare. (We cannot accommodate children during the JA BizTown day).
  • JA has limited parking. Arrange to carpool, if desired, by calling ______(Telephone Number).
  • Bring a lunch

The Junior Achievement staff expects you for training at the JA facility on:

From I-8 heading West

Take Interstate 8 West to Waring Road. After you exit on Waring you will head north and take a right onto Adobe Falls Road exit off of Waring Road. Continue over the bridge which is Alvarado Canyon Road heading West until you come to the first stop sign which is Mission Gorge Place. Make a right turn onto Mission Gorge Place and then take another immediate right onto the second driveway (this is actually another Mission Gorge Place). You will be heading east (US Post Office will be on your left). After passing the post office, take your next left turn up the hill to the large white building. We will meet downstairs in the lobby.

From I-8 heading East

Take Interstate 8 East to Mission Gorge Road. Make a left onto Mission Gorge Road. Make 1st right under the bridge onto Alvarado Canyon Road. Take Alvarado Canyon to the stop sign at Mission Gorge Place. Make a left turn onto Mission Gorge Place and then take another immediate right onto the second driveway (this is actually another Mission Gorge Place). You will be heading east (US Post Office will be on your left). After passing the post office, take your next left turn up the hill to the large white building. We will meet downstairs in the lobby.
