SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

President Tom Connelly called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Roll Call: Banks, McMahon, Mizialko, Nordmeyer, Snyder, Connelly present. Maynard absent.

Communication and Miscellaneous Business – Discussion, Consideration, and Action on the following:

1.  Committee/Commission Appointments

a.  Finance

Connelly appointed Banks and Mizialko. Nordmeyer/Banks motion to approve carried by ayes without negative vote.

b.  General Services

Connelly appointed Banks, Maynard and Snyder as chair. Snyder/Mizialko motion to approve carried by ayes without negative vote.

c.  Library Board

Connelly appointed Sarah Nelson, Mary Ann Kahl, Lauren Asplund and Mizialko as board liaison. Snyder/Nordmeyer motion to approve carried by ayes without negative vote.

d.  Plan

Connelly appointed Banks, McMahon, Bromfield and Ed Snyder III. Banks/Mizialko motion to approve carried by ayes without negative vote and with one abstention.

e.  Public Works

Connelly appointed Mizialko, McMahon and Nordmeyer as chair. Snyder/Nordmeyer motion to approve carried by ayes without negative vote.

f.  FWWPCC

Connelly appointed Snyder and McMahon. Snyder/Nordmeyer motion to approve carried by ayes without negative vote.

2.  Fireworks Stands

Based on the letter from Attorney Koch, the ordinance should be referred to General Services to either amend or repeal/replace effective August 1.Inventory has already been purchased by these two sellers. Connelly/Mizialko motion to amend effective August 1 failed on a tie vote. Snyder/Nordmeyer motion to amend per attorney’s letter, to be effective 5/8 after approval at the Board meeting, carried with 4 ayes and 2 nays.

3.  Approve New Truck Invoice/Payment – Public Works

Snyder/Nordmeyer motion to approve carried by ayes without negative vote.

4.  General Code Service

The clerk received 11 positive responses from the clerklist on other municipalities’ experience with General Code. Nordmeyer/Snyder motion to table until Monday’s meeting, and have the clerk check with General Code about updating the proposal in the fall for placement in the 2018 budget, carried by ayes without negative vote.

Nordmeyer/Snyder motion to adjourn carried by ayes.
