The Honorable Congressman Duncan Hunter,July 4, 2006

Greetings from Voice For Veterans Services, I wanted to bring to your attention that Armed Services Committee failed to communicate with Congressman Bob Filner of the Veterans Affairs Committee (2000 to 2004) on following through with a vote on H.r.1917 that Congressman Filner Sponsored for resolution for our Disabled Veterans who certainly earned the right to use MWR Recreational Facilities on military bases for the purpose of rehabilitation after war itself.

With this cover letter I have included a complete history of the Rustan Veteran Recreational Access bill thatinspired the website for the purpose of opening up all MWR Recreational lands to our veterans first before any civilian use is allowed. This recreational access is a Mental Health Treatment Option to get our minds off of WAR and hopefully reduce the amount of suicides caused by the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD)

Voice For Veterans Services website has the complete history that is presented to you in hard copy in chorological order to the atrocities that I personally suffered after being denied access after 1990 to these beautiful lands that I used for rehabilitation from the horrific pain and suffering I have from being treated like a 3rd Class Citizen while serving in the Army without medical care for my injuries during the time I served and being sent to Vietnam with a Broken Neck from a tank accident at Fort Hood, Texas. I am also a lifetime member of Paralyzed Veterans This story is on my website cover page “Veteran Without A Country”

Which brings to mind that I congratulate you on your effort to transport disabled veterans to serene settings for recreational purposes as this is the best mental health treatment that they certainly deserve. Which brings the next question Will you Sponsor H.R.1917 and open up Moral Welfare Recreational lands for all our disabled veterans on military bases before any civilian usage is allowed. I would like to make an appointment with you so we can discuss this all important agenda for Recreational Access on military bases as Mental Health Treatment Options for all our disabled veterans who certainly earned the right to use these lands I would like to know why we are Banned and Bared with an Order and Notice to Vacate these lands after we are given trespassing tickets. The military needs to put up WELCOME Signs and share MWR with all that serve this Country because that is the FREEDOM that we all fought for many died for. Please Open Up MWR to all that served as a thank you for serving our Country. That would be MWR at its best and Armed Services is the only Committee that can Open Up these lands. So Vote Yes for our disabled veterans and show Americathat you truly care about our freedoms to use MWR facilities as a mental health treatment option.
