4th Quarter ORB Schedule & Project Rubric & Scoring Guide

The Project is to host a “Celebrity Showcase” of the subject(s) of the autobiography, biography or memoir that you read this quarter. This requires you to share one of the following with the class: 1) a prerecorded 3-5 minute “interview” with the subject shared via YouTube, featuring YOU, in character, as either the subject or as a significant person who influenced the subject’s life (For example; you read a bio on Abraham Lincoln, you are interviewed ‘in character’ as Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd Lincoln 2); OR a 3-5 minute Prezi or PowerPoint presentation “showcasing” the life of the subject. As host, you will share your Showcase either ‘in character’ as the subject of the autobio/bio, ‘in character’ as an influential individual in the subject’s life, or ‘in character’ as the interviewer (for example; Anderson Cooper or Oprah Winfrey).

You must be able to demonstrate to me that you can access your Power Point, Prezi, or YouTube video during class on Monday, June 5. Your in-class presentation of your “Celebrity Showcase” is your ORB semester final and is due at the beginning of the period on Wednesday, June 07.

•  5.What 3-5 specific events in the life of this individual did you find most interesting, compelling, amazing, shocking, admirable, etc?

•  6.What 2-3 personal traits, qualities, or characteristics of this individual do you find most admirable? How did these personal traits or qualities affect his or her accomplishments and/or failures?

  • You will also create an original title for your “Celebrity Showcase” (not the title of the book) that reflects the subject and his/her life.
