Vocab-o-type!!!
Type your vocabulary words and definitions on your home computer 4 times each using a different font for each word. Try the font named “chiller” for spooky feel! Bring the printed copy on Friday. / Vocab-o-spook!!!
Use your vocabulary words s in a spooky or creepy story. Make sure you highlight or underline each vocabulary words as you go.

Using the word search paper from school, create a word search using each of your vocabulary words. Remember you have to fill in the extra boxes so the words are hard to find. Highlight or circle the vocabulary words in the puzzle when you are done.
Vocab-o-sport
Write a letter to friend about one of your favorite fall sports. You can pretend you play the sport too! In your letter include all your vocabulary words. Underline or circle those words as you go.

Cooler weather this month will cause the leaves to fall from the trees. Draw a leaf on your paper and write the vocabulary word on the stem. Then write the definition on the leaf. This should be done for each vocabulary word. / Vocab-a-lantern
Draw a pumpkin on your paper. Using your pencil to create a face and write the vocabulary word’s definition in your jack-o-lantern’s mouth! In the first eye write the word, second eye write if the word is a noun, verb, or adjective, and in the nose write how many letters are in that word. Do a new pumpkin for each word.

Vocab-a-flash!!!
Create flash cards using your words for the week. Put the word on the front and the definition on the back. Have someone help you study the meanings and spelling of each word. / Vocab-o-point
Create a PowerPoint using your vocabulary words and definitions. You can print your PowerPoint or email it to me at

Use each of your words to create a word staircase. To do this you have to spell the word one letter at a time. After you have spelled the word, write the definition.

This is a board you must complete by Friday of each week. All assignments must be turned in Friday. Each Friday you will have a test over the meaning of the vocabulary words.
