Vitovent 100-D: decentralized home ventilation unit for new and existing buildings

The new Vitovent 100-D home ventilation unit eliminates humidity, odors, and pollutants while providing fresh air not only for individual rooms or parts of a home (ventilation zones), but even throughout the whole house.

Ventilation almost without any energy loss

In the process, the integrated heat recovery recoups up to 91percent of the heat from the extract air and transfers it to the fresh air supply. As opposed to conventional window ventilation, which unavoidably lets warmth escape to the outside, the Vitovent 100-D saves considerably on heating costs.

On warm summer days, the heat recovery can be deactivated, allowing cool nighttime air to flow into the rooms instead.

Alternating operation with two units

Vitovent 100-D is designed for alternating operation. While one unit supplies the room with fresh air, the other conveys stale air outside and uses the warmth it contains to heat up an integrated ceramic cylinder. After about seventy seconds, the fans changedirection and the heat that has been stored in the meantime is transferred to the fresh air supply. If needed, more than two units can be coupled together, for instance, to supply larger ventilation zones or more than one room.

Quiet operation

The double-leaf, sound-absorbing indoor restrictors reduce the sound of the ventilator, air, and outside noises to the level usual in a home. Sleep mode lets you fall asleep in silence.

Touch display for comfortable control

For centralized control of up to three independent ventilation zones, a control unit with a touch display for seven operating modes is installed in the home:

-Control of the ventilation stages

-Ecomode (standard operation) with heat recovery

-Aeration mode for ventilation without heat recovery

-Intense ventilation mode, for example, when cooking

-Sleep mode to fall asleep undisturbed, with fanshut off for a short period

-Summer mode for cooling during hot summer nights

-Vacation modewith the lowest electricity consumption and humidity protection

As an option, an especially easy-to-use LED control panel is on offer for the basic functions. This lets you control the ventilation stages, the ecomode, and aeration. Both the touch display and the LED control panel indicate when a filter needs to be replaced.

Easyinstallationand service

Vitovent 100-D is fast and easy to install, even at a later time. All it requires is a 162-millimeter tap hole through the outer wall. Thus, the effect on the building fabric is minimal. The wiring connecting the control panel and the ventilation units can have a star or ring configuration, as desired. This enables short routing. In addition, there is a wide range of accessories available to facilitate installation, such as a choice of outdoor restrictors. To simplify maintenance, the unit can be accessed from inside the room without tools.

Viessmann service: request planning recommendation online

Viessmann trade partners can obtain a free planning recommendation for every ventilation unit – including offer – for centralized or decentralized ventilation systems at It takes only a few clicks to indicate all the information necessary for the construction project. The process is also visually supported by user-guided input and additional information, such as illustrations and brochures. Sketches or floor plans of the building serve as the basis for the offer and can be uploaded directly from the terminal device (PC, tablet computer).

In addition, the online query system lets you check whether a specific technical procedure is necessary for the ventilation, based on the DIN 1946-6 assessment process.

Viessmann’s ventilation experts use this information to create an individual planning recommendation with a non-binding offer at short notice.
