VITEM V – TEMPORARY WORK VISA (RN 100/2013)

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Foreigners who come to Brazil to provide transfer of technology or technical assistance, for a period of maximum 90 days, in the condition of not being employed by a Brazilian company, as far as there is a signed contract or a cooperation agreement between the Brazilian and the foreign companies.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

VisaApplication Form (one per applicant)must be filled in at . Fill in the form. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt. Print the receipt. Attach one passport-size photograph (please do not staple the photo; glue it, if possible). Sign the receipt. For the photograph it is required front view and white background, professionally printed;

Applicant's passport, valid for no less than 6 months, with at least two blank pages. Please note that pages reserved for amendments cannot be used for visa purposes. Soiled, damaged or defaced passports will not be accepted;

Police Clearance (fee: AED 80,00);

Copy of your round-trip booked itinerary (reservation, no need to buy the ticket) showing travel to and from Brazil (informing passenger’s name, itinerary, flight number and arrival/departure dates).

Notarized invitation letter from the company in Brazil, written in Portuguese language, as detailed as possible (check requirements below)

Letter that proves the enrollment of the Brazilian company in the Corporate Taxpayer's Registry –CNPJ that can be retrieved at

Letter from the foreign company (sponsor company of the employee)

Copy of residence visa in UAE (non-resident applicants must apply in person)

INVITATION LETTER REQUIREMENTS

  1. The invitation letter must be notarized and contain the maximum of information as possible. It must prove the existence of the company and the type of job that will be provided by the applicant. It must contain: applicant’s full name, applicant’s nationality, number of the passport, duration of the stay, professional background, activities to be performed and forms of compensation (salary), if there is any transfer of technology or technical assistance agreement signed by the Brazilian company and the foreign one). Moreover, it should be included the company name, CNPJ, address, phone and email contact.
  2. The letter must be signed by a manager or director, empowered for hiring and firing workers (“firma reconhecida em cartório”)

In all cases, the Embassy may request additional information or documentation as deemed necessary.

CONSULAR FEES

  • AED 400,00 for the visa.
  • On a reciprocity basis: additional processing fee for USA citizens of AED 760,00;
  • Additional processing fee of AED 220,00 for UAE passport holders (in reciprocity basis).
