PREVIOUS TEACHING EXPERIENCES

2003-2004 Kernan Trail Elementary School: 3rd Grade Self Contained: Team taught fifty third grade students which consisted of all third grade struggling readers, retainees, EH and SLD students. Organized and prepared lesson for reading, writing, and standards based discipline. Duval County Public Schools

2002-2003 Administrative Specialist for Standards Based Literacy Instruction: Responsible for developing standards based elementary literacy instruction in sixty of Duval County’s elementary schools. Duties involved developing a comprehensive plan for training school based grade level coaches in K-5th grade as well as developing a team of District Literacy Coaches to provide monthly grade-specific training and support to over 400 teachers district wide.

2001-2002 Interim Director of Standards Based Instruction: Responsible for development, implementation and training of standards based instruction in the area of literacy. Provided support and training to ninety second grade teachers in a year long literacy institute.

1998-2001 Administrative Specialist: America’s Choice School Design Cluster Leader: Responsible for leading thirteen Duval County Public Schools in a new comprehensive school design. Organized meetings, attended training sessions, facilitated workshops, and administered Quality Reviews to provide implementation feedback.
