Visiting Professor (Non-Tenure Track) in Environmental and Energy Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering at The Catholic University of America seeks to fill a visiting assistant professor position (non-tenure track) in environmental and Energy Engineering, to begin in August 2018.
This is a teaching position. Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and demonstrate effective teaching and communication skills. They should have a broad knowledge of environmental and / or energy engineering and have the ability to illustrate connections between theory and engineering practice. Our university prides itself on delivering a high quality individualized education to students in a research-oriented university that has a strong liberal arts tradition. Candidates should be able to teach courses in basic engineering topics as well as the in the more specialized topics related to environmental and energy engineering. The successful candidate’s duties will include teaching both undergraduate and graduate engineering courses, and service to a department, School of Engineering and the University.Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in civil, mechanical, or related engineering.
