VISIT TO BANK HALL, TUESDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2018

Bank Hall gardens comprise 18 acres; specimen trees in the grounds include a yew thought to be the oldest in Lancashire. The Bank Hall Action Group has tended the grounds since its formation in 1995, and intends to restore architectural features such as low garden walls, statues, a conservatory and greenhouses. After a visit from the Snowdrop Society in 2007 Bank Hall is now well-known and the many varieties are much admired during February. Bring along your spotter’s guide!

Specimen trees have been identified and named, and new ones planted for the future; the removal, storage and cataloguing of artefacts continues, along with research; events continue to augment the funds which allow more projects. Some of these are –
