Coffee Team Guidelines

Welcome to the Frontlines Greeting Team and thank you for serving the body! This manual is designed to prepare you for greeting, answer any questions you may have as well as to communicate the heart behind Watermark policies. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Vision For Coffee Team:

  • Romans 15:7, “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
  • The Coffee Team exists to be a first impression of Jesus Christ as individuals are being welcomed into the church. Our hope is that our Coffee Team would view themselves as much more than an individual preparing, pouring, and setting out coffee, but that they would see themselves as someone who is able to welcome others because Jesus Christ has welcomed them.
  • As you make and pour coffee for others, remember that God calls all Christians to be His ministers of reconciliation so that we can demonstrate His relentless love to a world that either may not know him, or may simply need to be encouraged and reminded of him.
  • A Coffee Team attendantis first and foremost a minister of the Gospel. As such, never feel that you must remain at your spot if you see someone in need, or if you feel the tug of the Holy Spirit spurring you to engage with someone. You are encouraged to leave your post in order to fulfill God’s larger purpose.
  • We pray that from a heart that overflows with the love of Christ you assist us in welcoming others to know our Savior.

Notes:

  • ALL supplies for the Frontlines Coffee Crew can be found on the Frontlines Coffee Crew Shelves. DO NOT use any supplies that belong to the Coffee Shop. You should not need anything on there shelves, everything that you need to set up for Sunday morning coffee can be found on the Frontlines Coffee Crew shelves. Please do not mix supplies with the Coffee Shop or any other ministry area.
  • Please be sure to leave the Coffee Shop cleaner than you found it. This greatly blesses the Coffee Shop workers that arrive very early on Monday morning to serve our customers in the Coffee Shop.
  • Have fun with your team! Engage with guests as they get their coffee ready. Your smiles are often the first welcome these folks get to Watermark, so make sure they get the best welcome as they join us for worship.
  • Thank YOU for all of your hard work to serve those who join us for worship on Sundays. You are a blessing to this body and we are so thankful for all you do to serve others! Thank you!

We are so thankful for each and every one of you and for your heart for service. It is such a blessing to serve alongside you and I look forward to getting to know you in the coming weeks.

In Him,

Frontlines Assistant

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. I Peter 4:10 – 11
