The Vintage Sports Car Club of WA (Inc)

VINTAGE STAMPEDE 2011

SUNDAY 4TH December 2011

Your entry is invited for this Club, Modern Regularity event. The day will consist of practice for all entrants in class groups from 9:00am, followed by round 1 of Regularity, in Class groups. At the conclusion of this will be the first Team Relay Regularity, for fast K, L, M, N and S cars, which will run for about one hour (exact time to be notified to Team Managers before lodgement of Lap Numbers document). The organizers reserve the right to exclude any entry that does not have a nominated lap time that fits the 130% speed envelope for the event calculated once entries are received. If sufficient entries are received, a second Team Relay Regularity event will be run for “Formula Classic” and eligible “Clubman” cars, under the same conditions. The Team Relay(s) will be followed by rounds of Regularity for cars that did not compete in the Relays, so that all entrants have the opportunity for approximately the same number of laps, and then further rounds of Regularity, in Class groups, as time permits. Competition will finish at 4:00 – 4:30, and it is hoped that McCracken House will be open for a little socializing to end the day.

Teams: Nomination for a Team is at no extra cost, and is not compulsory, but you must be an entrant for Regularity (so that you get to practice at least), to be a Team Driver.

If you want to be in a Team Relay event, and can’t find enough friends, or a Team Manager, to make up the numbers, put your Team Nomination Form, as complete as you can make it, in anyway and the organizers will endeavour to match you with a like group. Likewise, if your not going to be a competitor in Team Relay and you’d like to be involved as a Team Manager, put your Team Nomination Form in – we’re sure you’ll be appreciated.

Scrutiny: All entrants, including “Audit”, must report to Scrutiny as outlined on the Sup Regs. Scrutiny will be arranged in the Albany and Bunbury regions if there is sufficient interest. If you’re a Country Entrant desiring to do so, you will be advised of venue in your acceptance letter, but of course, scrutiny on the day will be available to you at Barbagallo from approximately 7:00 am.

Nominated lap Time(s): Organisers will follow recent practice and allocate Regularity Lap Times to entrants. To assist in this process, please indicate your preferred Lap Times in the space provided on the Entry Form. Remember that this is REGULARITY, so times should be around 85% of race speed. If you don’t know your times, leave these spaces blank, and the organizers will allocate a time, based on previous competition or similar vehicle times. There will be an opportunity to adjust the Nominated Time after practice if it is clearly wrong. You will need to consult your Group Leader (advised to you on the Entry Acceptance letter) and the Clerk of the Course, and if successful, advise your Team Manager if you’re running in a Relay. The organizers reserve the right to allocate a slower speed if required to facilitate the 130% requirement.

Supplementary Regulations: With this package you should find the Sup Regs (including Team Relay Regularity rules), an Entry Form for the event, and a Team Nomination Form for the Team Relay Regularities. Please read all documents carefully (coz questions will be asked) and fill out all boxes as are appropriate. Only entries accompanied by money (or a satisfactory arrangement made with the Entries Registrar) can be accepted.
