Senior Club Meeting

1. 4. Business Arising:
4.1Pre Season Gala Day
The Pre Season Gala Day was discussed as a form of review. The competition could only be played over one week due to ground availability and the club agreed that the two week concept is preferred.
4.2Master’s Competition
The Master Competition was discussed and it was agreed that a three week competition during the Senior Finals was agreed to be the best model for the Master concept.
4.3 Under 20’s in the local competition
This matter was clarified with the Melbourne Storm Under 20 program. All players contracted to the Melbourne Storm Under 20’s are required to play for Sunbury as part of the feeder club agreement that has been developed. This applies for contracted players as the Storm 20’s are responsible for the development of their contracted players and this included the feeder arrangements.
Any players from the local competition that are training with the Storm 20’s but not contacted are able to continue to play with their local club.
4.4Club Jersey Colours
No clubs provided the VRL will their home, away or alternate jersey’s colours.
ACTION:Clubs to provide a description (and or picture) of the jersey colour’s they will be wearing for the 2009 season.
5. Calendar of Events:
An updated calendar of events was provided to all clubs.
6. Lodgement of Score/Scoresheets
A reminder the home or first listed club is responsible for providing the score to the VRL by 6.00 pm on the day of their game. This information should be phoned through to 0448 890 044. The home or first listed club is responsible for sending the blue scoresheet to the VRL to PO Box 141 PARKVILLE 3052.
7. Incident Report Policy and Procedures
The Incident Reporting Policy and Procedures were discussed with the clubs and the Presidents and Secretary’s of each club are encouraged to be across the various elements and timeframes associated with this policy.
8. Referees Payments
A new system will be put into place for referees payments for the 2009 season. The clubs will be billed directly by the VRL for the costs of referees for each game. This process will commence shortly.
9. Accreditation Weekend
The 2009 Accreditation Weekend will be held on Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31, 2009. This is where volunteers who do not currently hold Coaching, First Aid and Leaguesafe qualifications can complete a course free of charge. The Course Nomination Forms have been sent to all clubs.

The National Rugby League are recognising the significant contribution that Women make to the game of Rugby League in Victoriabystaging theWomen inLeagueState of Origin Function prior to Game One on Wednesday June 3. Each Club/League and Associationhas the opportunity to invite three women from their club to the event. For those yet to nominate the attendees from there clubs please do so asap.
