2.Verify that Visual Landisc has the current version date of 12/13/2002

2.1.If it is older, copy the newer vlandisc.exe to the c:\clt\vlandisc directory

3.All Visual Landisc clients must be signed out of ALL Visual Landisc applications at this time!

3.1.This includes any of the following:

3.1.1.Visual Landisc

3.1.2.Visual Landisc Image Client

3.1.3.Visual Landisc Image Loader

3.1.4.Visual Landisc Photo Client

3.1.5.LDPlus

4.Launch Visual Landisc (on one machine only)

4.1.If indexes have to be recreated, recreate them.

5.DataBASE CAlIBRATION

5.1.Select REPORTS|SUMMARY STATS from the menu

5.2.Select ENTIRE PROJECT and then NEXT

5.3.Select YES

5.4.Select PARCEL for the output order and then NEXT

5.5.The report will begin to tabulate the results

5.6.After the report completes, select PRINT to print the report and set aside

5.7.Note the 2 WITHOUT PHOTOS totals, they should be equal to each other

5.8.Note the INACTIVE totals, they should both be zero

5.9.EXIT the report statistics window

5.10.If the WITHOUT PHOTOS totals are not equal or if the INACTIVE totals are not zero …………………………………………………………………………………………………...

6.If the WITHOUT PHOTOS totals are not equal

6.1.Press CTRL-F10 and select the FIX RECORDS tab

6.2.Select the SELECT ALL button

6.3.Select FIX RECORDS button (for large projects this could take up to an hour to process)

6.4.The program will first back up the project

6.5.The program will now begin fixing the multiples

6.6.Select OK and then EXIT

6.7.Return to section 4 and run the Summary Stats report again

7.If the INACTIVE totals are not zero:

7.1.Press CTRL-F10, select the PROJECT tab, and then select PACK PROJECT button

7.2.Select YES to the next 2 questions

7.3.The project’s ‘soft deleted’ records will now be removed

7.4.Select OK and then EXIT

7.5.Return to section 4 and run the Summary Stats report again

8.Keep the final SUMMARY STATS report and discard all others

9.Perform the Landisc EE installation guide thru section 6.1 at this time.

10.CONVERSION OF THE PROJECT FROM 1.42 TO EE (Will be performed on ONE computer ONLY!!)

10.1.Double click the Landisc Administrator icon on the desktop:

10.2.Select FILE|OPTIONS from the menu:

10.3.The Landisc Administrator needs to ‘point’ to your project’s Landisc database.

10.3.1.Click the button with the magnifying glass:

10.3.2.Select CREATE PROJECT:

10.3.3.Enter your project name and select OK:

10.3.4.Select the directory where your project is located and select OK:

10.3.5.Project will now be converted to EE (for large projects this could take up to 2 hours to process)

10.4.After you return back to the options window, your project location information will be shown.

10.5.Close the OPTIONS window by clicking the button with the door:

10.6.Now close the application by selecting FILE|EXIT from the menu:

10.7.Double click the Landisc Maintenance System icon on the desktop:

10.8.Select FILE|OPTIONS from the menu:

10.9.Click the button with the magnifying glass:

10.10.Select your project name:

10.11.After you return back to the options window, your project location information will be shown.

10.12.Close the OPTIONS window by clicking the button with the door:

11.database validation

11.1.Select REPORTS|SUMMARY STATS from the menu

11.2.Select ENTIRE PROJECT and then NEXT

11.3.The report will begin to tabulate the results

11.4.After the report completes, select PRINT to print the report and set aside and then CANCEL to close the report

11.5.Now close the application by selecting FILE|EXIT from the menu:

12.1.Match all numbers from the 1.42 Summary Stats report to the EE Summary Stats report. If all numbers do NOT match or you are unsure about which numbers to match, STOP HERE and contact Landisc Technical Support @ (800) 800-2581

13.Complete the Landisc EE installation guide from section 6.15 at this time.

13.1.ON ALL COMPUTERS THAT WILL BE USING LANDISC, remove (names not exact), via Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel, these applications, if they exist:

13.1.2.Windows Imaging

13.1.3.Visual Landisc Photo Client

13.1.4.Visual Landisc Enhancements

13.1.5.BDE 5.2.0.2

13.1.6.Any Landisc programs

13.1.7.Any Visual Landisc programs

NOTE: This will create an all new set of databases and will NOT change the 1.42 database!!

2.Verify that Visual Landisc has the current version date of 12/13/2002

2.1.If it is older, copy the newer vlandisc.exe to the c:\clt\vlandisc directory

If you do not have the latest VLANDISC.EXE file, STOP HERE and contact Landisc Technical Support @ (800) 800-2581

3.All Visual Landisc clients must be signed out of ALL Visual Landisc applications at this time!

5.10.If the WITHOUT PHOTOS totals are not equal continue to section 6 or if the INACTIVE totals are not zero continue to section 7. If the totals have NO discrepancies, continue to section 8.

6.If the WITHOUT PHOTOS totals are not equal

6.1.Press CTRL-F10 and select the FIX RECORDS tab

6.2.Select the SELECT ALL button

6.3.Select FIX RECORDS button (for large projects this could take up to an hour to process)

6.4.The program will first back up the project

6.5.The program will now begin fixing the multiples

10.3.4.2.Enter the 1.42 project name and select OK

10.4.After you return back to the options window, your project location information will be shown.

10.5.Close the OPTIONS window by clicking the button with the door:

10.6.Now close the application by selecting FILE|EXIT from the menu:
