Having converted to academy status in 2012, the team of hardworking and dedicated staff have welcomed the positive changes that have occurred in the academy as a result of conversion. The academy has achieved exceptional exam results this summer – 82% A* to C GCSE including English and Maths. The Vice Principal will have a strategic role working alongside the Principal and senior leadership team to drive up standards, raise aspirations and achieve high levels of performance.

In raising standards for all students the academy will contribute to the raising of educational standards and achievement generally across the locality through the mutual sharing of knowledge, expertise, and resources from across the education, business and voluntary sectors.

Outwood Academy Valley is a high performing secondary school of approximately 1600 students including some students at Outwood Post 16 Centre. Last year the Academy celebrated record results with 82% of students achieving 5+ A*-C grades including English and Maths at GCSE.

Outwood Academy Valley are seeking an exceptional and experienced leader with a proven track record of school transformation to work alongside the Executive Principal and senior leadership team to support and raise aspirations and attainment. You will be an enthusiastic leader with the drive, vision and a commitment to excellence. With a clear focus on delivering excellence, you will ensure effective leadership is in place throughout the academy. By delivering a broad and challenging curriculum, you will enable every child to reach or exceed their potential.
This year 85% of students in our academy achieved A*-C in English and maths,
82% achieving 5 A*-C including English and Maths,
83% 5 A*-C in all subjects.
You will need the tenacity and integrity to deliver in challenging circumstances and the ability to communicate a vision that inspires, motivates and enthuses staff, students and the community as a whole.
You will be well supported by an experienced team as you work to raise attainment levels and offer an engaging curriculum experience.
