Re: Applications of Comcast Corporation, General Electric Company and NBC Universal, Inc. for Consent to Assign Licenses or Transfer Control of Licensees, MB Docket No. 10-56

Dear Mr. Solomon:

This is to confirm our telephone conversation this morning regarding the pending applications of Comcast Corporation (“Comcast”), General Electric Company and NBC Universal Inc. (“NBCU”), which request Commission approval of the proposed assignment of certain FCC licenses and/or transfer of control of certain licensees.

As we discussed, on June 11, 2010, NBCU submitted certain materials in response to the Media Bureau’s Information and Document Request dated May 21, 2010 (“Information Request”). As we advised, our review of the materials that NBCU submitted in response to the Information Request reveals that NBCU has not fully complied with the instructions supplied with the Information Request, as revised by letter from the undersigned dated June 3, 2010, including, but not limited to, Instruction 13 and Revised Instruction 7. In light of the foregoing, we have directed NBCU to review, revise and supplement its responses and associated materials, as necessary, to correct these and any other deficiencies that it uncovers as a result of this review, and submit those responses and associated materials, as so revised and supplemented, along with a cover letter containing the certification required by Revised Instruction 7(D)(3) that it has fully and completely complied with the Bureau’s Information Request. In addition to the foregoing, we have directed NBCU to provide the staff with one hard copy of the unredacted submission.

Until such time as NBCU submits these materials, and Comcast has made a similar filing requested by letter of even date herewith, the transaction timeclock in this proceeding shall remain paused as of June 11, 2010, the date on which NBCU’s response was initially due. This letter in no way affects the pleading cycle in this proceeding.

As explained previously, with regard to any responses that contain confidential or proprietary information, NBCU should follow the instructions in the Protective Orders in this proceeding, except that the filing in electronic form will replace one of the two unredacted hard copies normally filed with Commission staff. For all hand deliveries pertaining to the Protective Orders, call Vanessa Lemmé (202-418-2611) to schedule receipt of hand delivery or, in her absence, Marcia Glauberman (202-418-7046). For any responses that do not contain confidential or proprietary information, please file in accordance with the instructions set forth in the March 18, 2010 Public Notice in this proceeding.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact Ms. Lemmé or Ms. Glauberman at the numbers listed above.

Sincerely,

William T. Lake

Chief, Media Bureau
