Three generations of racing in the Goshen family has prompted Bill Goshen Jr. to develop and maintain one of the top up and coming motorsports teams in North America, Goshen Motorsports. Beginning in 1984 with his father Bill Goshen Sr. competing and winning races in the famous Mickey Thompson Off Road Stadium Series, Bill Goshen Jr. traveled throughout the country living and learning in the world of motorsports. Whether it be carrying tool boxes, changing tires or working on engines Bill Goshen Jr. grew up racing.
While raising his family, Bill’s sons Billy and Joshua Goshen began Karting in 1999. By winning over 5 IKF Grand National Championships, Stars of Karting Western Division Runner up and Stars of Karting National 3rd place established Goshen Motorsports as a leader in Karting in North America.
It became apparent after having celebrated much success in the Karting world, the next logical step for Goshen Motorsports was to enter the highly competitive Formula TR Pro Series. This series has produced top up and coming drivers such as Marco Andretti and Colin Braun. With sons Billy and Joshua Goshen winning a combined 18 races in the 1600 and 2000 series over the past two seasons, including Joshua Goshen capturing a 3rd place finish in the 1600 series, and Billy Goshen winning the 2000 series Championship for 2007, Goshen Motorsports has become the top race team in the Formula TR Pro Series. Other drivers competing for Goshen Motorsports in the Formula TR Pro Series include Christian Franck, and Bruce Binnquist also taking multiple podiums throughout the 2007 season.
While continually seeking to rise to the top of the open wheel motorsports world Goshen Motorsports for the 2008 racing season will be entering Billy Goshen into the Star Mazda Series, with Joshua Goshen moving up from the Formula TR 1600 Series to the Formula TR Pro 2000 Series. Goshen Motorsports will be testing new drivers for 3 available seats in both the Formula TR 1600 and 2000 series for 2008.
The well storied history in American open wheeled motorsports has included such famous racing teams of Andretti-Green, Penske, Chip Ganassi, Newman Haas, Rahal Letterman, and Walker Racing etc... Bill Goshen Jr. and Goshen Motorsports is positioned and focused to become the next generation of successful Motorsports teams in American Motorsports history.
