In 66 years of history more than 17 million Vespa units have been manufactured, making it an authentic icon if Italian design.

This success is closely tied to transportation history and customs in Italy and all over the world, but above all to current trends which are rising constantly: in fact, with more than 150,000 units sold in 2011, almost 20 thousand more than 2010, Vespa has exceeded the threshold of 100,000 units sold worldwide for the sixth year in a row. This increase is connected to the consistent offer of new models and versions, such to have tripled the 50 thousand Vespa units sold in 2003.

VESPA GTS 300 SUPER

The elegance of the Vespa GTS and the grit of the legendary "Super" models led to the creation of the Vespa GTS Super, the Vespa that is heir to the refined lines and sporting spirit of the fabulous models of the past, like the 1955 Vespa GS, the 1964 180 SS and the 1985 T5 “Pole Position”.

Two variants are available: the Vespa GTS 125 Super and the Vespa GTS 300 Super, both with electronic injection.

The classic personality and unique style of the Vespa matches a clear sport character and refined lines to take on a decidedly spirited look.

With new 4 valve timing, this brand new and feisty little powerplant has nothing to envy of its two-stroke counterparts (at 4.35 hp, Vespa GTS 300 Super is the most powerful 50 cc four stroke on the market), yet its consumption and emission figures remain those of a four-stroke.

Once again, Vespa confirms its vocation as an elegant sport bike and it does so by dressing itself in soft lines and glamour parts, all in an uncompromising package which highlights its sporty and young character. A body with forms, details and colours that all express its enjoyable dynamism. The Vespa GTS Super blends not just sportiness and performance, but distinctiveness and character too.

Through outstanding design and technology, the Vespa GTS Super reinterprets a sports classic from the Vespa hall of fame. The body, Vespa's metallic essence, is distinguished by a score of personality. The right hand side now sports a distinctive grille with horizontal slots – a clear reference to the most stylish Vespas of the past – which gives a marked sporty touch to the side view of the vehicle.

The suspension gains a distinctive racing red finish for the front spring, a motorsports detail that makes the GTS 300 Super stand out from the crowd.

The aggressive front leg shield also underscores the model's sports character, with a stylish grille with chrome accents replacing the daylight running light.

VESPA GTS TOURING

The Special Touring Series dresses up the powerful Vespa GTS, recalling the thousands of outfitted Vespas that have travelled the streets of the world, carrying entire generations of riders. This is a series dedicated to a love for travel, with an appropriate mix of unmistakable Vespa style and the practicality of a vehicle which is capable of leaving the city behind to embark on medium range touring.

The word “Touring”, which is emblazoned on the leg shield back plate by the glove box, identifies the new Special Series and accentuates the high quality and elegance of the Vespa LX and Vespa GTS.

Vespa GTS Touring 300, in the elegant “Marrone Terra di Toscana” colour scheme, aims to be the Vespa for tourism and long range thanks to its ultra modern single cylinder 300 cc electronic injection engine which is characterised by its 22 HP and high level of torque (22.3 Nm) reached at low rpm. These are numbers that, when taken to the street, mean great riding elasticity and pick up from low speeds which is always able to guarantee fluidity and ease of riding.

The single cylinder GTS Touring engine is extremely environment friendly, fully complying with the strictest pollution regulations thanks, not only to the modern nature of its global design, but also to its catalytic converter system and advanced SAS secondary air recovery system.

The finishings of the Touring Special Edition are designed to enhance the Vespa line: the standard chromed luggage racks at both the front and rear significantly extend the vehicle's load carrying capacity; the rounded and transparent windshield envelops Vespa's eye to give it another touch of elegance and augment the rider's level of protection. The Vespa Touring, as with all the GTS versions, comes standard with the easy and agile side stand to make parking even more convenient. The saddle with thermal bonding in the new design matches the vehicle thanks to its colour coding with the bodywork.

A stylistic element that enhances the refined style of this Vespa is the colour scheme of the side plastics which cover the lower part of the scooter, colour coded with the body in Marrone Terra di Toscana.

Powered by an ultra modern and powerful 300 cc, 4T, 4 valve, liquid cooled engine equipped with electronic injection and Euro3 approved, Vespa GTV "Vie della Moda" stands out for its extraordinary elasticity and brilliance and, thanks to the injection system, it also stands out for its high fuel economy and low emissions.

The "Vie della Moda" tag, inspired by labels from the most famous glamour runways, identifies the most elegant Vespa and, emblazoned on the leg shield back plate, highlight the unique quality of this charming model from first glance.

The position of the headlight assembly on the front mudguard which characterises the GTV is clearly reminiscent of the Vespa origins, as is the handlebar, which on the first Vespa stood out for the simplicity of the naked metallic pipe and which now resurfaces on the Vespa GTV "Vie della Moda".

The two-seat saddle in eco-leather is elegant and comfortable, and as on the original Vespas, is split into two separate elements, the carefully crafting edging enhances the silhouette. The particular colour scheme of the saddle is achieved with an elegant covering in the same refined “Marrone Etna” colour of the vehicle, the exclusive colour of the Vespa GTV "Vie della Moda". The chrome finished, five spoke wheels further enhance one of the most elegant Vespas of all times.
