October is Bullying Prevention Month as well as having Red Ribbon Week.

So next week, we're celebrating“Fill A Bucket Week!”

Tuesday–“Sock It to Bucket Dippers”- Wear crazy colored, miss-matched socks.

Wednesday–“Give Bullies the Boot”- Wear your boots (cowboy boots, rain boots, work boots, etc).

Thursday–“Team Up to Fill A Bucket”- Wear your favorite team shirt (hometown, college, or pro, any sport Friday–“We're Proud to be Bucket Heads”- Wear a silly hat (no masks).

School start time is 7:45 AM. Car riders are released at 2:35 PM and bus riders are released at 2:45 PM. If your child is going to be a car rider, please make sure you have a car tag or be prepared to show identification.

Parents please remember that per WCSD policy children who are not in school for 1/2 the day is considered absent. The policy came home on pink paper with each child in the registration packet. This information is found under general procedures. (1/2 the school day is approximately 3.5 hours). Children who checkout after such time will be considered checkouts.

Vocabulary Dress-up day: October 31st. NO masks or scary costumes!!!!!

PTO News: PTOis meetingeveryTuesday at 4:00in the library. We are busy making plans for the Fall Festival in November. Please come and help make it a success for everyone. If you can't make the meetings andare willing to help in any way, please call the school office to leave a name and number or contact the PTO through their school web page.Fall Festival News - Fall Festival will beThursday, November 7th from 5 to 7:30 p.m. To make this event a success, PTO needs your help. We will need: volunteers to prepare for the festival and to help work booths that night, baked goods for the sweet shop and cake walk, donations for the silent auction baskets, and sponsorships for the booths.

If everyone helps some then everyone can have time to enjoy the event. Help us make this event a success and enjoyment for everyone.

School Advisory Council: The next School Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting will beDecember 2, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.All staff, parents, and community members are welcome to attend.

If any parents or community members are interested in being a part of this year's SAC please contact Ms. English at 850-535-2486 or email her at:. School Advisory meets a minimum of 4 times per year to discuss school improvement areas and strategies.

Several Classes have adopted a soldier overseas as a service project this year. We are writing letters and sending treats, stationary, and toiletries throughout the year. Each young man will be there at least through this school year. This is a volunteer activity. If you are interested and would like to help, please contact Ms. Best or Mrs. Seaboch in the library for a list of items the students are collecting to send.
