Meeting Minutes

Mark opened the meeting at 1832 bours.
Secretary’s Report: October meeting minutes read and accepted on a motion by Natalie and seconded by Kirsten.
Treasurer’s Report: Report is up to November 6, 2011. Read and accepted on a motion by Deb, and seconded by Anthony.
Agenda Items from the Floor: Added Barnet school bill and memorandum of understanding.
OLD BUSINESS
Communications: FCC License denied twice.
Training: January 18th will go over CHART. February 15th will be on overdoses. March 21st will be reviewing CHART.
Policies & Protocols Committee: Mark will get in touch with Tim Angell regarding progress.
QI/QA: Discussed CHART and First Responder forms. Motion to send out the First Responder notepads, without alterations, and to buy the first 1000 forms made by Deb and seconded by Jamie.
Mini-MCI: Has taken place. Deb and Natalie made a motion to pay the $66 bill to the Barnet School. Ayes have it.
I-Refresher: Has been completed. Additionally, CALEX has 8 gigabytes of information on Bath Salts and Shock/Electrolytes.
Basic Class: Four or five interested people so far, and still awaiting more. It will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1800-2100. Cost is $400 plus the book. Will be run from January 3rd to April 17th. Deadline to register is December 23rd.
NEW BUSINESS
Leadership Call: Didn’t happen. A lot of transitions in the EMS Department.
LRI North EMT-B Class: Grant became available. Class will be geared more for northern people, and won’t affect the CALEX one.
EMS Week: Third week of May. Folks should go back to their services and bring any ideas to the next meeting.
AED Trainers: Update available for current units. Cost is $225 to purchase the AED Trainer 2. There are seven units out in the district and need to purchase 5 or 6. Michael made motion by purchase 6 units, and Tony seconded. Ayes have it.
AED Units: Upgrade out. CALEX will reprogram them on Dec 19th and 20th at their building. Deb and William made a motion to cover the cost of the labels until we can bill agencies. Ayes have it.
MOU: Northeast Kingdom Community Crisis Response requests us to sign off on an MOU. Mark will send it out to district reps.
QI/QA: Lights and sirens position statement distributed.
Newbury EMS: FR-ECA +4 modules people will lose the 4 modules, but can test at the EMT level when transition happens.
