VERA FISCHER

Vera Fischer was born on the 27 of November, 1951 inBlumenau, Santa Catarina, in the South of the country. At the age of 18, she was elected Miss Brasil and after running for Miss Universe in the United States, she returned to her country and started living in Rio de Janeiro. She began her career in Rio as a model.

Her cinema debut was in the film “A Super Fêmea” and she worked in other erotic comedies until she decided she wanted to be an actress and not just a sex symbol. She changed her line of work entirely. She took part in “Eu Te Amo”, by Arnaldo Jabor, in 1981, “Dora Doralina” and “Amor Estranho Amor” ( 1981 - she received the Moliere Prize for best actress), among others.

Vera’s television debut was at TV Globo in the novela “Espelho Mágico” in 1977. Then, on stage, with the play “Os Desinibidos”, by Roberto Ataide.

With a lot of effort, Vera Fischer proved she wasn’t just an ex-miss, a 5’6 foot blonde with a perfect figure - which she doesn’t recall because she hardly ever weighs herself. Her talent is recognised by all of the Brazilian artistic world and public.

Stunning, Vera doesn’t pass by unnoticed. Not only because of her fame, but also because of her looks: she is a beautiful woman!

Se was born beautiful and says unabashedly that she does nothing special to keep her shape: “... Ageing is a natural process and I have this very well sorted out in my mind”, she adds.

Her beauty nowadays has matured, her mind has evolved. Tuned into her era, she reveals a mystical side and says, “she establishes a direct link with God, strength and faith, giving up any dogmas of any religions”

Moving forward has always been the characteristic of this Sagittarius with a moon in Scorpio. Vera wants to expand continuously and when she wishes something she works hard for it.

She says that it is through the consumption of art, in the best sense, that she receives her vital energy: “... My books and records help me find my inner peace so I can recycle myself”.

This is a moment of tranquillity in Vera’s life. She has never gone to analysis sessions and resolves her problems with a good session of Shiatsu (oriental energetic massage) or with her children Rafaela and Gabriel.

Some say that there’s a price to pay in life. It might be true and today Vera lives a resplendent moment:

“... Today I know what is a great failure and a great success. Many actors go through life not knowing either one.”
