You are invited to participate in the International Scientific Conference "Education and Training for Sustainable Development: Experiences, Challenges,and Prospects".

The concept of greening education will be discussed with regard to commitments taken by Ukraine at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development "Rio+20" (registered within UN as "Greening of Education: Ukraine's Contribution").

Venue: UkrainianNationalForestryUniversity (UNFU)conference-hall, 105 General Chuprynka Str., Lviv, 79057, Ukraine.

THEMES

  1. General theoretical and methodological foundations of greening curriculum for sustainable development.
  2. Practical experiences of the universities in education and training for sustainable development.
  3. General, sectorial and regional issues of education for sustainable development.
  4. Prospects for education and training for sustainable development.

LANGUAGES AND TIME

Languages: English, Ukrainian, and Russian.

Time:full-length presentation:up to 15 minutes short presentation: up to 10 minutes

DEADLINES

  • Submission of application - October 15.2013
  • Registration on venue - December18-19.2013
  • Beginning of the Conference - December 19.2013

Registration for the conference

The registration fee is 50€ per participant. Fees will be paid on the venue. It covers book of abstracts publication and organizational expenses.

The application and abstract should be sent on email no later than October 15, 2013.

Requirements for Abstracts

Volume of abstracts should not exceed 3 pages. It is recommended to send it in MS Word 2003 (font – Times New Roman, size – 14 rows – 1 interval, margins – 2 cm perimeter, paper size – A4).Structure of abstracts:

• Full name and degreeof the author (s);

• Affiliation;

• Abstract title (in capital letters);

• Abstract text.

Participants may also provide full-length articles for the Proceedings of the Conference book, which will be published as special edition of the UNFU Scientific Journal. Article volume should not exceed 16 pages.
