CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Do you have a nursing or midwifery research, project or innovative practice to share?

This conference provides a forum for clinicians, nursing and midwifery researchers and educators from Australia and internationally, to share knowledge and celebrate innovation in nursing and midwifery practice, policy, research and education.

This year’s conference focuses on looking “Beyond Transforming Health, Shaping the Future”and will focus on the diverse and wide-ranging professional, practice and policy issues facing and influencing the working lives of nurses and midwives.

Submission of abstracts is now open with the Conference Committee calling for 20 minute oral presentations themed on aspects of nursing and midwifery innovation that enhance nurses’ and midwives’ professional practice:

  • Education
  • Practice
  • Research
  • Policy

Topics may relate to any care setting including, but not limited to: aged and community care, consumer directed care, palliative care, emergency, neonatal, critical care, primary health care, rehabilitation, school nursing, midwifery, maternal and child health, mental health, rehabilitation, occupational health and safety, evidence based practice, e-health innovation, research, nurse/midwife education, workforce or clinical innovation, health and environment.

Abstract submission

Please note that abstract submission is only available online. If you are interested in submitting an abstract for consideration, please complete the following steps:

  1. Download the Abstract Template
  2. Please print these instructions and have them nearby when you are ready to submit your abstract
  3. Save the Abstract Template to your computer in an easy to find place, and use this to prepare your abstract
  4. Write your abstract using the Microsoft Word template, adhering to the formatting guidelines outlined in the Author instructions. Please note that abstract titles should be a maximum of 20 words, and the abstract text should be a maximum of 300 words.
  5. Ensure you have a short biography (max 50 words) for yourself, and each co-author listed on the abstract.
  6. Email your abstract to if not able to have submission button.
