The 2nd International Contest of the Theatrical Posterwith the participation of Creative Union of Artists of Russia and TheatreUnionofRussia takes place within the frameworks of Vampilov International Theatrical Festival of Modern Drama in Irkutsk (Russia)in September, 2015
The main aim of the Contest is the further development of theatrical poster as an art form, the strengthening of the international cultural ties, providing opportunities for participation in the contest for artists from all over the world.
The Contest will have 2 nominations:
- classical poster;
- advertising video clips of performances for city boards, Internet and e-media
The Contest will be held in 2 stages:
1.Internet-Contest. All sent electronic versions of posters will be placed on the special site. The official voting starts on August, 1 and lasts till August, 31. Everybody may vote for the favorite poster.
2.Final stage. The Jury consisting of 5 people selectsabout 70 posters and 20 advertising video clips of performances for further exposition in the Theatre Museum in September 2015 (during the Festival). At the end of the Exhibition the Jury announces three winnersin the each nomination. Diplomas of winners and prizes will be handed to authors of these works.
By results of the Internet voting the winner of Internet contest in both nominations will be determined and awarded to diploma and prize.
The audience who has visited an exhibition of theatrical posters in TheatreMuseum, can vote for one of the works. By results of this voting the prize of spectator sympathies will be handed.
Requirement to works
The posters of 2012-2015 to any performances.
1.Posters can be executed in any techiques on A1 formatin *tif (*jpg) format at least 150 dpi.
2.Advertising video clips of performances have to be in avi, fla, mp4 format and last no more than 40 seconds.
Works are sent together with the application set form by e-mail on address till 25.07.2015.
You can send not more 2 works in each nomination.
The works which have been selected by the Jury, are printed by the Organizing Committee.
Award presentationperforms at the closing ceremony of the Festival. All participants, whose works passed preliminary selection, receive diplomas of the participant.
According to the results of the Contestthe video for Internetwill be made.
Some facts:
The 1st International Contest of the Theatrical Poster took place in 2013 within the framework ofInternational Theatrical Festival “Meetings in Odessa”with the participation of State Theatre Agency of Russia and TheatreUnionofRussia.144 artists from 17 countries including Russia, Ukraine, Japan, Finland, Israelparticipated in the Contest and more than 400 posters were sent.
