Every 3rd Saturday 0645-1415 (Monday off). Moving to a weekly shift rotation over 7 days.

Main purpose of job: / The Customer Logistics Co-ordinatorwill work within a team of other Customer Logistics specialists. The CLC will also work closely with Supply Chain Teams, Customers, Warehouse Teams and 3PL partners to ensure that they deliver the highest possible level of service when supplying customers.

Main duties:

  • Organize, distribute and control the order of all traffic operations within the Customer Logistics Team
  • Support the Customer Logistics Team Leader to implement and exploit the new Vehicle Booking System (VBS)
  • Become super users in the VBS
  • Raise Haulier POs and monitor that all orders are "allocated" and staged accurately and in a timely manner to meet haulier book in times and scheduled delivery due date to customer
  • Expedite late Haulier collections with haulier and where necessary re-book delivery with customer
  • Ensure that all the required documentation and computer entries are completed accurately in accordance with all company policies to meet despatch schedules
  • Support the Customer Logistics Team in streamlining all associated admin processes
  • Support stock transfers to fulfil all Supply Chain requirements (Braes/Beacons specialists)
  • Co-ordinate with 3PLs to ensure delivery of expected Customer book in times whilst minimising cost
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase the efficiency and contribution of the Customer Logistics Co-ordinator role.
  • Support the Customer Logistics team to process shipping orders for accuracy and completion as per procedures.

Tasks include but not limited to:

  • Preparation and issue of all despatch paperwork to 3PL drivers
  • Allocate stock to orders including following split pallet process
  • Prepare picking requirements in support of warehousing team
  • Maintain VBS expediting concerns with internal and external teams taking corrective action to alleviate any potential bottle necks through loading delays
  • Regular daily contact with Warehouse, 3PLs and Customer Traffic Teams
  • Represent Customer Logistics in daily team meeting with Warehouse Team
  • Provide cover for other members of the Customer Logistics Team
  • Support the Customer Logistics Team in collating and issuing KPI reports e.g. late deliveries to customer due date and reasons

Key skills and requirements:

  • Previous experience in a traffic department working with logistics carriersadvantageous, skilled in the implementation of efficient traffic activities and daily operations
  • Experience using shipping processing software and Microsoft Office preferable
  • Effective in written, oral and interpersonal communication
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team and across functions
  • Highly organised with an ability to manage their time and prioritise effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are key
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a flexible “can do” attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills
