SYLLABUS

A. THE NAME OF SCIENCE: MATERIALS TECHNOLOGY

B. HOURS / WEEK: I SEMESTER 2C, 1L, TOTAL / WEEK= 3. WRITEN EXAM

C.THE OBJECTIVES OF SCIENCE

The materials technology as a science of general technical training is the basis of further development of technical and technological sciences, for the followings academic years. It is an indispensable matter for the training of the future specialist in mechanics, mechanical engineering, and installations branch.

This science needs to be correlated with: mathematics, physics, chemistry, strength of materials, materials study, technical drawing, sciences that ensure fundamental tools for the teaching and understanding of phenomena and items.

The materials technology will develop the practical sense and logical technical thinking based on a solid theoretical training. Also, the technical thinking must be accorded with the economical thinking, as an efficient possibility of obtaining products in optimum conditions of quality and price. The practical work of the discipline and their leading by experiment, modeling and interpretation of the results bring a special contribution.
