V/JV Men’s Soccer Spring 2011

There is only one expectation for our team: RESPECT

-We will respect each other at all times, by being on time and prepared for practice, by putting everything we have in to what we do at all times, and speaking respectfully to one another.

-We will respect our parents and fans and those of the opposing team.

-We will respect our facilities and our equipment.

-We will respect our school and all the school staff.

-We will respect our opponents, their facilities, and their equipment.

-We will respect out referees and line judges.

-We will respect the Extra-Curricular Code.

Violations of the above expectations will have the following consequences:

Individual Consequences:

  1. If you are late to practice: (On time means shoes/cleats and shin guards are on and you are completely ready to go for practice at the start time on the calendar)
  2. You will not start in the next scheduled game;
  3. Your average playing time will decrease for every minute you are late. Example, if you are 5 minutes late, 5 minute will be taken off your regular playing time. If you are late for multiple practices prior to a game your time will be added together and your playing time will decrease the amount of the entire amount for the next scheduled game.
  4. If you miss a practice:
  5. You will not start the next scheduled game;
  6. You will miss the entire first half of the next scheduled game.

Team Consequences:
1. For every player that is late to practice:

  1. The team will run 1 sprint (coaches’ choice) for every minute that the player is late, times the number of late players. Example, if 2 players are 2 minutes late the team will run 4 sprints.

2. If a player misses a practice without a reasonable excuse (ie. Doctor’s appointment, illness, family emergency, etc):

  1. The team will have sprints at the coaches’ discretion.

Other violations:

  1. Any other violations of the above expectations will be discussed individually with the coaches’ and the consequence will be explained to the individual and their parent/guardian.
