Useful Instructions for Students reporting for Admission
- Reception for Higher Degree (M.E./M.Pharm.) students will be arranged from 27thJuly 2012onwards. These students have to report for admission on 28th July 2012 at 9:00 am in Room numbers B307 and B308.
- Reception for First Degree (B.E./B.Pharm/M.Sc.) will commence from 8 AM on 29thJuly 2012.These students have to report for admission on 30thJuly, 2012 at 8:30 am in Room numbers B301 to B310.
- On arrival at the Main Gate of the Institute, you will be directed to the venue of the
Reception.There will be traffic and parking restrictions (all vehicles are to be parked
in the spacenear theworkshop or near the SAC)to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
- The reception for Newly Admitted students and the Hostel Allotment will take place at KrishnaBhavan (marked as HB1 in map given below) for boys and at Malaviya Bhavan (HG2) for girls.
- Hostel Rooms will be allotted at the reception counter in the Hostels to the students immediately on arrival afterproducing aprintout of Admission Offer Letter from the BITS-Pilani website.
- Candidates directly coming for admission on 30th July, 2012 will collecttwo check slip and onePink slip (to freeze the Hyderabad Campus) before proceeding for admission from admission receptioncounter.
- Meals will be served on payment basis in Dining Hall-1 and Dining hall-2 from 27thJulyonwards.From 6th August, students will be charged on monthly basis after the mess registration.
- Arrangements will be made near the hostels for the purchase of items like Mattress, Pillow, BedSheets, Curtain, Buckets, Mug, Lock etc., on payment basis. The Shopping Centre on Campuswill also supply all the other immediate requirements.
- Please remember to bring with you a DD for the specified amount to be submitted during Admissions. The DD should be taken in favor of “BITS, Pilani –Hyderabad Campus” payable at SBH, JawaharNagar (code No. 21092). In case, this is not possible, you can get the draft from any nationalized bank and the draft should be payable at Hyderabad.
- It is compulsory for all students to have an account in the Campus SBH bank. The HostelAllotment Slip has to be produced at the SBH Bank branch on Campus to open an account.
- Parents should minimize their stay on Campus since there are severe constraints on accommodation and resources. There is an interaction of Parents with Director BITS-Pilani, HyderabadCampus at 3:30 pm on 30th July, 2012 which all parents should plan to attend. There is norequirement for parents to stay on and they can plan to leave on 31st July 2012.
Parents of boystudents are allowed to stay with the boy in his Hostel room.
Only mothers of girl students areallowed to stay in their daughter's Hostel room.
- An Orientation Programme explaining all aspects of the BITS educational system will be held from 9.30 am on July 31st, 2012. This is meant primarily for the newly admitted studentsand the parents need not attend.
