GC Fuji CEM Automix with automatic mixing for fast and flexible application

Manual or automatic? First resin-modified GIC in Automix version

Clinically proven and in great demand around the world for the past seven years. Now GC Fuji CEM is consolidating its pioneering role because the resin-modified glass ionomer cement in paste form is now not only faster and more reliable but it is also more flexible to use than any other commercially available cement on the market. With the new GC Fuji CEM Automix, a dentist can decide for himself at any time whether he would rather mix the two-component material by hand or fully automatically – it just takes the click of a finger because the new cartridge design provides both manual and automatic mixing in one convenient system.

The choice of mixing options makes GC Fuji CEM Automix a versatile, modern luting system, which simplifies the whole process. Because the resin-modified GIC is automatically dispensed in individually adjustable but always precisely equal mixing ratios, functional efficiency and performance are guaranteed. The Automix tip allows direct dispensing into the restoration with minimal consumption of material – it could not be easier and less complicated.

No mixing, no contamination – and so convenient

The newly automatic dispensing system of GC Fuji CEM Automix reduces the mixing time by as much as 50 per cent compared with manual methods – without any sources of error caused by impurities or air bubbles which can certainly arise from hasty mixing by hand. The material can also be dispensed directly into the crown, so there is no risk of contamination.

Another advantage: the final cement has a creamy consistency which results into an extremely thin film of only three micrometres under the pressure of insertion – for ease of insertion of restorations, perfect seating with no marginal leakage and to avoid mal occlusion. The excess cement can be effortlessly removed up to a minute after insertion. After two and a half minutes, the cement is then fully set. For relaxed working, GC Fuji CEM Automix also has a lengthened working time of three minutes, which means that even wide-span bridges can be safely cemented.

Versatile and flexible – time-saving and risk-free

Other advantages already clinically proven: no moisture sensitivity, continuous and high fluoride release, high adhesive power and compressive strength, good biocompatibility for less postoperative sensitivity and radiopacity for easier diagnosis. In addition, the material has a very good sealing function which minimizes the risk of marginal leakage.

As a result of these excellent material properties and flexible usability, the new GC Fuji CEM Automix is the ideal cement for luting metal-based restorations as well as inlays and onlays made of composite or ceramic and for resin, ceramic or fibre-glass posts. It is available now as a refill package (two Automix compatible Pastepak cartridges), refill introductory set (two cartridges, one Pastepak dispenser) as well as Automix (two cartridges and 44 mixing tips) and Automix starter package with an extra Pastepak dispenser. The dispenser can, of course, be bought separately.
