RECEPTION AT THE CITY HALL
There will be a reception in the Vienna City Hall ("Rathaus") on Monday, 16th February 20h (8.PM). You may wear evening clothes there, if you like.
TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT AT THE CONFERENCE
Please let us know in advance what technical equipment you will need.
If you need a "beamer" for a PowerPoint- or KeyNotes-presentation, please note that due to the danger of software problems, we will not provide a computer, so please take your own laptop with you. Instead, you might print the presentation on overhead transparencies and show the presentation with an overhead projector, which is in each conference hall.
INTERNET
Hotel Alexander has direct internet access in the reception, hotel Arkadenhof has internet access via phone with your own laptop in most of the rooms.
CARS
There is little place to park in Vienna. The area of the hotels, the 9th district ("9. Bezirk"), is a limited parking area, you can buy tickets from tobacco stores ("Trafik") for 90 minutes periods only. The area of the conference, the 19th district, has free parking, so there are very few parking spaces to be found. Hotel Alexander & hotel Arkadenhof have a limited number of parking spaces. In the "Wirtschaftsuniversität" (in front of hotel Alexander) there is a car park garage.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
You can buy tickets for public transport from ticket machines in subway stations or from tobacco stores ("Trafik").
HOTEL to CONFERENCE
Please notice that the way from the hotels Alexander and Arkadenhof is a 10 minutes walk. There is no direct public transport connection. Directions will be available in the hotels and signs (arrows) will be posted.
AIRPORT to CONFERENCE
Take the train to "Wien Mitte" (either the regular train or the more comfortable and more costly CAT-train) or the shuttle-bus to the city air-terminal (hotel Hilton in front of the subway station), then change to U4 (the green subway) - direction "Heiligenstadt" until "Spittelau", then change to the bus 37A - direction "Dänenstraße" until "Währinger Park". Then follow (1 minute) the signs that we will post.
AIRPORT to HOTEL
Take the train or shuttle-bus to "Wien Mitte" (see above), then change to U4 (the green subway) - direction "Heiligenstadt" until "Spittelau", then find the Vienna University of Economics "Wirtschaftsuniversität". Hotel Alexander is opposite, Hotel Arkadenhof is about 2 minutes from there.
TRAIN STATION to HOTEL
Westbahnhof: U6 (the brown subway) - direction "Floridsdorf" until "Nussdorfer Straße". For Hotel Arkadenhof, find the cinema "Auge Gottes". Hotel Arkadenhof is in the street opposite. For Hotel Alexander, find the Vienna University of Economics "Wirtschaftsuniversität". Hotel Alexander is opposite.
Südbahnhof: Take the tramway D until "Augasse". Hotel Alexander is opposite, Hotel Arkadenhof is about 2 minutes from there.
TRAIN STATION to CONFERENCE
Westbahnhof: Take the U6 (the brown subway) - direction "Floridsdorf" until "Nußdorfer Straße", then follow (5 minutes) the arrows on the signs that we will post.
Südbahnhof: Take the tramway D until "Schottentor", then change to the bus 40A until "Währinger Park" then follow (1 minute) our signs.
