USE OF THE BAPTISTCHURCH IN WARREN for WEDDINGS

You will need to complete a Use of the Church Application, which will bereviewed by a Church Committee. The Committee, in consultation with the minister, will decide on your request. You will be notified of their decision. You may also call the church office for verbal confirmation. Members of the church do not pay a fee for the use of the Sanctuary. For non-members, the fees vary according to your time and space requirements.

SEXTON

The Sexton is responsible for the preparation and cleaning of the Sanctuary prior to and after the service, and other areas used by the bridal party and guests. He will arrange for the Sanctuary's furnishings and will receive deliveries from your florist, musicians and/or caterer as long as you have contracted for that with him. The fee for his services is $125 for rehearsal and wedding ceremony. The fee is standard for both members and non-members. (A separate check made payable toDaniel Cahoon) must be received twoweeks prior to the date of the wedding.

ORGANIST

All arrangements for music and musicians mustbe made through the Church, who will consult with you during the process of selecting appropriate music for your wedding. If no music services are used, there is a flat charge of $150 payable to the Church. A separate check made payable to: Kevin Beroutymust be received two weeks prior to the date of the wedding.

It is suggested that you contact the Organist as soon as possible.

SOUND TECHNICIAN

The Sound Technician will work with you on Sound quality issues. He will mike the groom so that your vows may be heard clearly. He will work with musicians, and pre-recorded music.

PASTOR

The policy of the Church is that all weddings held in the Church will be conducted by the pastor of this church. A guest clergy may be invited to participate. The Pastor will work with you to create the ceremony that you desire.

ADDITIONAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

FLOWERS

A bouquet is usually expected to be placed on the table at the front of the Sanctuary. Large arrangements may stand on the floor near the lectern and pulpit. Any arrangement on the pew doors needs to be pre-approved by the church.

Please arrange to have flowers, runner and any aisle decorations removed immediately following your service.

CANDLES

Lighting of the unity candle is permissible from two (2) smaller candles, which are provided by the couple. Candles may notbe used anywhere else as decorations, because of fire codes.

PHOTOGRAPHER

Please keep in mind the dignity of the marriage ritual as you plan for photographs of the ceremony. All photographing should be done in a discrete and dignified manner. After the service, you may re-enact the ceremony in the Sanctuary for flash photography.

MARRIAGE LICENSE

Please make your arrangements for your marriage license. The license may be secured from the town or city hail where the bride resides. Because each town has its own regulations, you need to find out the specific requirements.

The license may be given to the pastor at the time of the rehearsal. In no case will a service be conducted without the license in the possession of the pastor. One responsibility of the honor attendants or witnesses is to sign the license.

After the ceremony, the signed license will be copied and you will receive an unofficial copy, then the originalwill be sent by the church to thetown where it was issued, where you may obtain a copy afterit is officially registered.

RECEIVING LINE

The bridal party may form a receiving line outside the front door or in the Fellowship Hall. Throwing of rice, rose petals, confetti,birdseed or sparkles is prohibitedinside and outside on the church property.

RECEPTION

You may have a catered reception in the Fellowship Hall of the Church for small parties. Please discuss all catering plans with the Church Office. Prices to be determined by size of party and duration. All alcoholic beverages are prohibited,

INVITATION

We are delighted that you are considering being married at The Baptist Church in Warren. If you do not already worship regularly at The Baptist Church in Warren, we would like to extend an invitation to you to worship with us on a Sunday morning at 10:00 am.

PAYMENT OF FEES

A non-refundabledeposit of $250 is required along with the application for use of the church. The balance of the fee is to be paid in full no less than two (2) weeks before the scheduled event. Please make your check payable to The BaptistChurchin Warren.

PARKING

Parking is available in our parking lot, on both sides ofMain Street and the church side of Miller Street. You may also contact area businesses for special use of their parking lots.
