In other news:

USATF welcomes Christopher Quetant, sanctions program coordinator
Christopher Quetant joins USATF as the new sanctions program coordinator, which operates as part
of USATF's legal department. His role will be instrumental in assisting event directors with the sanctioning process.
Quetant comes to USATF from the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York, where he worked as an operations coordinator, managing all logistics for athletes and coaches residing at the facility.
He was an integral part of the U.S. Olympic Committee's delegation for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, where his duties included transportation and logistics to ensure the safe arrival of Team USA at both team processing and the village. Prior to his role in operations, Quetant interned in the USOC's Sports Medicine Clinic.
During his time in Lake Placid, Quetant also served on the board for the Shipman Youth Center, whose mission is to provide a safe environment for local youth.
As a student-athlete at Springfield College in Massachusetts, Quetant earned his bachelor degree in Sport Management in 2011, and he competed in the 200 and 400 meters, earning Academic All-American honors.
Sanctions program update
As part of the transition of the sanctions program to the legal department, which is overseen by Sarah Austin and Norm Wain, USATF is taking the opportunity to institute further changes that will ensure USATF can continue to provide this valuable product to our sanctioned event directors. The biggest of those changes is to incorporate certain deductibles in our coverage. These deductibles ensure that the sanctioned event directors are consistently complying with our necessary rules of coverage.
In the coming year, USATF will continue to communicate changes and upgrades to the sanctions program. These enhancements will include providing more education to our Association Sanctions Chairs and providing enhanced safety materials to all of USATF-sanctioned events.
USATF Customer Service Representatives continue to be the first points of contact for sanctions. Customer Service may be reached at (317) 261-0500 and at .

From CEO Max Siegel:

USATF hosted a meeting in Indianapolis to discuss several proposed changes to our governing laws. These changes will most assuredly directly affect our current organizational structure and may have the unintended consequence of impacting USATF’s viability as a business entity in the marketplace of sports and entertainment. Because the annual meeting does not provide ample time to sufficiently discuss and collaborate on solutions the advance meeting was held to build consensus in advance of the 2015 USATF Annual Meeting. Attached please find a 1-page summary of the discussion points and the sentiments expressed during the meeting.

We will update you as we continue to make progress on these important topics. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.
