Position title:General Services Assistant

Duties:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate all purchases: identifies vendors, maintains vendor files, collects procurement quotes, and submits VAT receipts to Financial Assistant.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all Peace Corps disposable office supplies and rotating Volunteers supplies. Determines minimum stock levels and ensures adequate stock is maintained and that supplies are used efficiently.
  • Responsible for maintenance and update of Vehicle/fuel logs: checks for credibility and completeness weekly vehicle fuel and passes logs for review to Director of Management and Operations.
  • Ensure that each vehicle contains all necessary supplies, paperwork, and documentation as per Peace Corps procedures and regulations.
  • Coordinate, with guards on duty, receipt all incoming mail and inter office distribution. Coordinate inter-Embassy mail delivery.
  • Maintains related files: supplies and utility payments.
  • Assists with moving equipment or supplies as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Management and Operations and General Services Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

EducationA college degree is required.

Driving license category B with practical experience minimum 5 years

Work Experience4 – 5years of working experience on a similar position preferably in international environment.

LanguagesFluency in Ukrainianand good working knowledge of English is required.

Other SkillsGeneral office skills to include: data research, analyses, and interpretation, computer skills including knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, and database programs, filing, inventory management skills, organization and time management skills, ability to perform difficult duties with a minimum of supervision. Driving license category B with practical experience minimum 5 years

Remuneration: Depending on professional background and experience a competitive compensation and benefits package is offered.

Additional Comments:

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: A background security investigation will be required for all hires. Appointment will be a subject to the applicant’s successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication.
