OUR LEAGUE

UMYBL is an all volunteer youth organization for boys and girls ages 5-18. A player’s age for the 2007 season is his or her age as of April 30, 2007.

For players 5-12, Pony League Baseball has officially designated the any child residing in the Council Rock School District may register with UMYBL.

For players 13 and older, Babe Ruth Baseball has designated the following for players living in:

  • UpperMakefieldTownship (must register with UMYBL)
  • NewtownTownship and WrightstownTownship (may register with UMYBL)

2008 SEASON

We invite you to be a part of the excitement! The 2007 baseball season was an exciting one for UMYBL as over 500 boys and girls participated on over 50 teams. It was a time of tremendous growth for our community and 2008 promises to be even better. Some of our highlights:

50/70 baseball at our 11-12 year old level – Real Big League Baseball - this brand of ball features leading, stealing, and bigger base paths - a great game for 11 and 12 year olds.

Three Free Spring training clinics were held at Manto’s BaseballAcademy.

Opportunities for travel team tournament play at the district, state level and in Cooperstown.

2008 will feature travel play for Softball.

Upper Makefield Youth Baseball League is a volunteer community service organization committed to serving the youth of Upper Makefield, Newtown and Wrightstown townships. We strive to provide the best opportunity for these boys and girls to grow as individuals, learn the skills of the game, and compete in a healthy positive team environment. Working together, parents and coaches can make a difference in each of these player’s lives. To provide this level of service, we all need to help. EACH PLAYER’S FAMILY IS REQUESTED TO ASSIST WITH AT LEAST ONE OF OUR THREE FIELD MAINTENANCE DAYS AS WELL AS HELPING OUT IN THE SNACK SHEDS.
