ARTICLE 66
INTERSTATE COMPACT ON EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR MILITARY CHILDREN

§ 3308.

In New York, the state council shall include the commissioner or his or her designee, Marybeth Casey

the director of the New York state division of veterans' affairs or his or her designee, COL Eric Hesse

the adjutant general of the state of New York or his or her designee, Robert Conway

a superintendent of a school district with a high concentration of military children appointed by the commissioner, Frank Sheboy

a district superintendent of schools of a board of cooperative educational services serving an area with a high concentration of military children appointed by the commissioner, Stephen Todd

a representative from a military installation appointed by the governor, James Koch

a representative of military families appointed by the governor, TBD

a public member appointed by the governor Debra Jackson

andone representative each appointed by the speaker of the assembly, Lisa Beatha

the temporary president of the senate Sal Nicosia

2. The state council of each member state shall appoint or designate a military family education liaison to assist military families and the state in facilitating the implementation of this compact. Appointments on April 21,2017 Agenda; with nominations and voting by the council members

3. The compact commissioner responsible for the administration and management of the state's participation in the compact shall be appointed by the governor or as otherwise determined by each member state. Debra Jackson

4. The compact commissioner and the military family education liaison designated herein shall be ex-officio members of the state council, unless either is already a full voting member of the state council.
