As you enter the worship area please take a look at the beautiful banner than hangs above the worship table. Many thanks to Norita for this lovely creation, you have outdone yourself.
Tomorrow, April 5this Easter, and we invite all to share in this very special time of worship and celebration. Take a moment and invite a friend or neighbor to share in this special time in your church. We will begin at 8:00 amwith an early morning service, for which we have special music and worship form, then at 9:00 amor a little before if the early service lets out a bit early we will have Easter breakfast which is hosted by the youth group. This is followed by the Easter service at 10:00 am. All are invited to come and bring the tree to life as we gather and celebrate God’s great revelation in song and praise. This will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:00 am. We give thanks to Hy-Vee Floral for the buckets of flowers that have given us to use in our service.
Words of appreciation to all who have brought flowers, Easter lilies and other colorful flowers that brighten our worship area for this special day.
Next Sunday April 12th is the second Sunday of the month which means we will be having the sacrament of Holy Communion. We share our Redeemer’s Sacrament and invite all to come and take part in this very special time. After worship it will be our pleasure to host a diaper shower for secretary, Terri Logan. Please make plans to come and share in this joyous and exciting time.
April 26th the Brookings UCC youth will be guiding us in a special Earth Day service. This service will be a time to give thanks to God for the beauty of the Earth and to seek God’s guidance as we look for ways to care for our beautiful planet and one another.
Soon the Sunday morning Study group, which meets at 9:00 am, will be taking up Martin Copenhaver’s book “Jesus is the question”. The book looks at the 307 questions Jesus asked and the 3 he answered. All who are interested in sharing in this meaningful gathering please feel free to join us.Specific dates will be posted soon.
