BLUE MASS of THANKSGIVING

Our annual Blue Mass of Thanksgiving will take place on Wednesday, November 23rdhere at Roman. In addition to being thankful for all our blessings, this will be a time to express thanks and gratitude to our law enforcement officers and to our first responders for their dedication and sacrifice each day. We would like to honor the parents of our Roman students who are serving in these capacities. Students whose parents are law enforcement officers or first responders are asked to sign them up in the Office of Student Affairs byFriday, November 4th. If you have any questions, please call the Office of Student Affairs.

CANCER AWARENESS WEEK

This week marks Cancer Awareness Week

-We will be praying the Prayer to St. Peregrine in the morning.

- Also, during lunch periods, we will have paper ribbons that the students/faculty/ staff can write names on in memory of loved ones who have passed from cancer. They will be hung in the cafeteria.We will pray for those who are battling cancer.

-Students will be able to wear appropriate Cancer Awareness Shirts today over their uniforms. If you have any questions, please see Miss. Kuvik

Seriously? Did you go home all week shirtless? pantless? shoeless? There are many many items of clothing and footwear that have been turned in to the Lost and Found department. If you think that they may be belong to you, please come and claim them in the Student Affairs Office. This offer expires today, October 28th at 2:41PM

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

NHS tutoring is held every day during the last 20 minutes of all lunch periods.

SADD

Trick or treat, smell my feet! Don’t do drugs. Today is the last day that The Students against Destructive Decisions will be raffling off a basket of Halloween goodies during all lunch periods. Chances are 50 cents each. Winner will be drawn at the end of 7th period today.

SAINT BASIL’S ACADEMY

St. Basil’s will be hosting a service event to package lunch bags for the homeless in Philadelphia. This will take place on Sunday afternoon, October 30th. They would love to extend an invitation to Roman students to join them and other area Catholic high schools for this common good. See Father Check for more details.

SCHOOL MINISTRY

Mass will be offered today at 5th period in the Chapel.

SUPERHERO DAY

Monday, October 31st is Superhero Day. Students may dress as their favorite Marvel or DC Superhero or Villain.

THE FORUM

Roman’s School Store is holding a Class of 2017 T-Shirt design contest! This contest is open to SENIORS ONLY! All drawings and/or ideas must be submitted to the School Store NO LATER THAN Wednesday, November 2, 2016! Voting will take place the week of November 7-11, 2016. All artwork must be approved. Winner will receive a free T-Shirt. Please see Ms. Donna or Ms. Sabrina with any questions. Try and get you r entry in ….TODAY!

VETERANS’S DAY ASSEMBLY

Attention All Students

Roman will be presenting its annual Veteran’s Day Assembly on November 10th, starting at 9:30AM. If you have family members who were in the Military or who are actively serving our country, please let Mrs. Brown in the Student Affairs Office know. We would like to thank them for keeping us safe. Any student who would like to participate in this assembly is also asked to see Mrs. Brown. Never forget that you live in the land of the free because of the brave.

A wrestler/ parent meeting will be held onThursday, November 3rd at 6:00 PMin the cafeteria in preparation for the upcoming season. If you did a Fall sport make sure to touch base with Coach Gault.
