A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins, and we pause in silent reverence for her soul.

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins was born on October 16, 1943, a longtime resident of Florence, Kentucky, and traversed these earthly bounds on January 21, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins will be remembered as someone with an infectious laugh who could light up a room; and

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins was a proud homemaker who raised four bright, successful children; and

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins was diagnosed with breast cancer seven years ago and this set her out on a journey to create a healthier lifestyle for herself and her family; and

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins was a member of Saint Paul Church and New Hope Family Life Center, and she worked at the Healthy Alternatives food store; and

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins was the devoted and loving wife of Boone County District Court Judge Michael Collins; and

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins was the beloved mother of Nicholas Dunham of Hebron, Kentucky; Michael Dunham of Cincinnati, Ohio; Melissa Smith of Elsmere, Kentucky; and Sarah Taft of Fort Wright, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins is also survived by her brother, Steven Siliceo of Irvine, California; her sister, Vivian Miller of Sedona, Arizona; and six beautiful grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, nearly 1,000 people attended the visitation and funeral for Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins, a testament to how many lives she touched; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins has left a void that cannot be filled, and she is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins, and extends to her family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. The Senate recognizes that Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins was an extraordinary person who was deeply loved and respected by all those who knew her.

Section 3. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Grace "CeCe" Cecelia Collins.
